JSP has successfully built and operates India’s Most Modern 6 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Angul, Odisha. This plant includes India’s largest 4.25 MTPA Blast Furnace, which was erected in a record time of 27 months, setting new benchmarks in global steelmaking. Additionally, JSP’s facilities at Angul include a 1.2 MTPA plate mill, 1.5 MTPA Bar Mill, and an 810 MW captive power plant. Notably, the plate mill is capable of producing 5-meter-wide plates, the widest ever built in India.
The Integrated Steel Plant, initially envisaged as the country’s first steel plant based on purely swadeshi raw material, involved setting up the world’s largest Coal Gasification Plant (CGP) for Steelmaking through the DRI route. The major facilities at the plant include Blast furnace, Coal washery, Sinter plant, Pellet plant, Coke-oven and by-product plant, Coal gasification plant, DRI plant, Steel Melting Shop, Slab caster, Plate mill and Hot strip mill, Oxygen plant, Lime and Dolomite plant, and Power plant.
Oxygen Plant

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall 1710 TPD Operations & Maintenance.
- Maintenance of all Electrical & Mechanical equipment & auxiliaries.
- Monitoring of all electrical equipment & mechanical health daily.
- Coordination with shift engineers.
- Preparing daily Maintenance reports for the shop.
- Monitoring complaint register & priorities of the daily job accordingly.
- Performing planned shutdown jobs as per planning.
- Spare management & inventory control.
- Receiving and guiding the VITT for placement and Coordination with the DCS operator during VITT loading.
- Operation of LOX, LIN, and LAR tanks and ensuring safe loading and dispatch of tanks.
- Responsible for all resource planning & support for smooth operation to minimize downtime, spare planning, manpower planning, regular coordination with all departments as & when required basis to fulfill the system requirements, etc.
